We Have a Winner and Upcoming Posts…
Hi folks! Thanks to everyone for entering our contest! Here are the results!
We have a winner! Kaelynn, our five year old – as of this morning, happy birthday Princess! – is up bright and early this morning, and was so excited to pick our winner! And our winner is … Stephanie in Canada! Woohoo! Congratulations! I hope this resource package is a real blesing to your growing family! Please email me at jennifer @ quiverfullfamily . com without spaces so I can email you the link for the download!
And we have some exciting posts in the works here is a list of the topics that are coming up, so stay tuned!
- Free Homeschooling Audio Downloads (I have a list of sites to share with you!)
- How to Make Your Own Laundry Soap – I have an article, and a photo tutorial from two different friends to share
- Family Devotions, What We’re Doing – DH has had a word from the Lord on how to change our family devotions, so I’ll be sharing what we WERE doing, what the Lord told Larry, what we are now doing, and the kids reaction
- How to Make Your Own Re-Usable Cloth Baby Wipes – I just made 45 re-usable cloth baby wipes in 1 day with free hand me down material, for a household savings of $45.00 over purchased! I took pictures, and will be posting a tutorial.
- How to Castrate a Piglet – Hopefully this works out, we’ve done a few batches of piglets and small weaner pigs at various stages of growth, and this morning we are set to do a batch of piglets that is around 2 weeks old. I plan to take pictures! Not for the faint of heart!
So, I hope you’ll find these upcoming posts interesting! We are just heading home today from our work-trip to Larry’s parents farm, so it will be a little while before I get these all posted as we need to get unpacked and resettled, and have some toy inventory orders to clear up at home as well, so hang in there for those posts!
While we’re on the subject of upcoming blog posts – what types of posts do you enjoy reading the most? I really enjoy posts that clue me in about contests and free resources, family update posts (especially birth announcements!), posts about adoptions, musings on motherhood that are well thought out and draw me closer to my Lord and saviour that convict me about issues in my own life etc. Please let me know in the comments what your favourite type of blog posts are!

Oh…I am very excited about the ‘How to Castrate a Piglet’ tutorial!! (Did you think ANYONE would comment like that???). The kids bring hogs to the fair every year, and how exciting would it be for them to learn how this is done??? If one of them decide to do an Educational Poster on the topic, could we use your pictures??
Looking forward to your upcoming posts!!!
Camille
Heehee, okay, that is fun Camille! I did get some photos yesterday, but some of the shots I was trying for were impossible to get with so many people around and my two year old on my hip, so some of the ‘detailed’ shots I didn’t receive
, but they can certainly use the pictures! I’ll bump this one up higher on my priority list! The piglets are so cute – they are Berkshires, so they are black with white points. The best way to learn is by doing, it’s very easy to do, DH taught himself by looking at pictures and grabbing a scalpel
