Hi Stephanie - thanks for praying!! We don't have a real plant, but we do have some gel from the store. It is healing so slowly :(, I hope it's all fixed up before new baby gets here!

do you have an aloe plant? i found that the gel from the plant helps heal up burns nice and quick... that looks so ouchy...
i would just avoid doing a lot if you can for a little while... easy to say, hard to do with a houseful of littles...

poor chickie. I pray that God sends healing your way soon!

Hi Katrina, ah, we do have a land line for our telephone, so maybe we aren't 100% off the grid? ;). We run on solar panels (a few small ones on the roof), wind mills (a couple of little ones), a gas generator for backup, and a bank of batteries. I actually haven't blogged about it much, though I should since it's such a topic if interest, it's more DH's area, he's the techie man!

So no problem - feel free asking questions! I always respond to comments with questions! :).

And thanks so much for your burn concern!

OK, maybe this is a stupid question, and I'm sure you've already answered it if only I had the patience to search, but I'm famous for wanting instant gratification, blah blah blah ...

How do you blog living off the grid?

Not a criticism, mind. I respect and admire you for it (and envy you the tiniest little bit -- I want to live like you do, but then I married a man who thought the whole idea was certifiable).

Sorry about nasty burn. It looks very painful.
