After 4 consecutive days at the hospital or Dr.’s office we have a foot prognosis!

We are back from the Dr. and Larry helping the Fehr’s, and we have good news! The foot looks really good – the Dr. cleaned up all of the dead skin that he could get off without hurting me…too much and there is lots of nice pink skin coming that we can start putting vitamin e oil on, I think we’ll mix in a bit of lavender essential oil too. Some is still pretty raw/deep, but he doesn’t think that any of it is third degree, because I have some feeling all over, it doesn’t hurt everywhere (likely the most burned places) but there is feeling! So he didn’t even mention skin grafts! I feel so blessed! We can clean and dress it at home now, and he said in 2 – 3 weeks the ‘base line’ healing will be finished, I think that means all of the currently very raw areas will turn pink? And another 4 – 6 weeks will see it completely healed and back to normal skin. So that sounds good to me! Coming in with complete healing just around the time baby is due .

I think it will still be a few more days before I can walk on it without intense pain, and I still need to keep it up to reduce the swelling so that it heals faster.  It is bending and flexing with a lot more ease, and very little pain unless there is weight on it!  Thanks so much for all your prayers!
