I hope that this news is sweeping through the blogosphere like wild-fire, and that you’ve already heard this request.  There is an urgent need of prayer for the north-Indian state of Orissa.  Our brothers and sisters in Christ are experiencing intense persecution following the murder of an anti-Christian leader by rebels.  The crime has served as a catylst for violence and destruction towards believers, their families, church leaders, homes, church buildings etc.

Please pray a hedge of protection around these believers, and for God to provide for their needs, keep them safe, provide food, shelter etc. for them.  Pray that He will comfort the families of those who have died in Christ’s name.

Pray for those comitting the crimes, that they would come to know God’s love for them through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ.  Pray that they would accept Jesus into their hearts so that they can be forgiven of their sins and inherit eternal life.
