Book and Website Review with Giveaway! A Little Bit of Faith by Cindy Kenney

First, the review, and then scroll down for the giveaway instructions!

A Little Bit of Faith
is the first in a new series of books written for the Precious Girls Club, a special, safe place online for young girls to celebrate character qualities and interact.  The Precious Girls Club is part of Precious Moments, which is evident in the sweet story line and the signature tear drop shaped eyes of the characters.

Katie has just moved to a new town, and is having a hard time making new friends.  With the help of her loving family and her guardian angel, Faith, Katie develops a plan to win the hearts of her new schoolmates.  While the fruit of this plan is slow to develop, once Katie begins employing her spiritual gift of encouragement she is able to meet and befriend many new girls.

By the end of this slender chapter book, the stage has been set.  The groundwork for the Precious Girls Club has been clearly laid out in the story – theme, image and the all important charm bracelet have all been described.

My oldest daughter, age 5, is entranced with this new series already.  Ever since she learned of Katie’s club, club themes have popped into her imaginary play.  From the pink cover, and colourful illustrations to the warm story, she is delighted.  I often find her sitting and just leafing through the pages, she is a pre-reader but she enjoys the book so much, even when I’m not reading it to her.

The Precious Girls Club website just went live this past week, and we are excited to explore it together!  I have to admit that I LOVE the coordinating merchandising, particularly the charm bracelets! Who knows, we might be led to start a chapter of the Precious Girls Club right here!

In a culture that elevates scantily young girl characters with their own television shows and coordinating dolls, a wholesome alternative is desperately needed for girls of faith!  I’m thrilled to see this innocent alternative that celebrates all of the ways that God made each girl special, each girl precious.

A Little Bit of Faith is available to purchase online at Amazon.com OR at Preciousgirlsclub.com.
