Adventure Time!?

Well, it’s -41 degrees Celcius (-41.8 F) here this morning with the windchill.  Not exactly adventure weather in our house.  We have a family policy – we don’t go out anywhere if it’s colder than -20 below Celcius (-4 F).  During the winter we…don’t go out often.

I recently read a biography in which an adventure writer spent a few weeks north of the Arctic cirlce in Alaska in January in order to get part of the story.  He slept outside in a double walled tent…erm…Alaska in January?  Sleeping bags?  Tent??!!!

We don’t camp in the winter…and to be honest, most people wouldn’t if the temperatures where they live are below freezing 6 months out of the year, it really is a crazy environment.

However, if you live somewhere warm and balmy, where the temperature doesn’t get below 5 degrees Celcius (41 F) you might want to be picking up some Adventure Gear and heading out into the elements.  Their compact sleeping bags will keep you snug at those temperatures – though they won’t quite cut it up here.  Backpacks, camping gear, knives, lanterns, fancy watches GPS devices and many more items for outdoor adventures are available through the online store at Sierra Adventures with free shipping available on orders of $75 and more.

As for our family though…we’ll be staying inside today, where it’s nice and toasty warm.  Enjoy your adventures in the warmer parts of this diverse world that God has created!

Welcome!
