Home schooling is an awesome responsibility. We started out because there were shootings in the middle school and a stabbing over a boyfriend in the high school. That was almost 15 years ago. Since then, our goals and methods have changed as our faith in God has grown.
You are correct. I think all home schoolers basically recognize that they don't want the homogenized education many children are getting in the ps, but when you enter in the Deuteronomy 6 commands to walk with them and talk with them, teaching His commands, well, that opens us up to a whole new world for his people.

Thanks for your submission to the carnival this week. It is up and posted at my blog. http://jacquedixon.com/?p=3843

blessings on your journey to bring your children to him and lead them in his ways~

Sounds like you're off to a great start. I've only been homeschooling for two years, but there have been many days when I've felt the same thing you're talking about -- the need to fall back on God as the ultimate parent of my children. Thanks for this encouragement for today!
