Product Review: Febreze Allergen Reducer
I have a new favourite Febreze product! Febreze’s Allergen Reducer Fabric Refresher promises reduction of up to 75% of allergens from pollen, dust mites and other allergens that can become airborne from fabrics, and as the mother of an occasional asthmatic I can use all of the help I can get! Our oldest daughter (6-years-old) suffers from spontaneous asthma attacks, random hives and various food allergies. We’re never sure what will set her asthma off, and in truth it doesn’t happen often, but we’ve recently begun investigating allergy reducing sprays for the bed-clothes etc. In fact, we bought a bottle of another brand of spray that cost $27 – let’s just say that the Febreze is much, much more affordable!
When I received my 800 mL bottle my daughter and I went wild. I sprayed the furniture, the bed-clothes, the pillows, the blankets, you name it – if it was surfaced with fabric, it was sprayed. I think I used 3/4 of my bottle in a single go. This may not sound miraculous, but the fact that my daughter was able to enjoy spraying the product is significant to me. She is very sensitive to synthetic fragrances and never had a problem with the scent. It’s light, clean and just noticeable – that in and of itself gives it bonus points in my books. My husband is also sensitive to scent and I didn’t hear any complaints from his camp either.
Now, because of the nature of my daughter’s attacks, I can’t speak with any certainty as to the efficacy of the product at this point. I can say that it smells great, doesn’t aggravate sensitive sniffers, and is a far sight cheaper than comparable products. Based just on these three points I feel confident in recommending you give Febreze’s Allergen Reducer a trial-run if you or a family member suffers from allergies. You can find it available in any major department or grocery store where Febreze is sold.
If you’ve used it yourself, or plan to – please let me know what your results are!

I have been using this Febreze product for a while now. Our family removed all the carpets in our home and also bought 3 hepa air filters. 4 out of 5 of us has dust mite allergies. we even travel with special anti allergy allersacs. Thank the lord that all of these changes have cut down the amount of sneezing and itching in our family.
