Back to Homeschool Glasses

I need to get my daughter’s eyes tested.  She’s balking at her reading assignments, and squints a bit when she reads.  I hope her eyes are okay, but I don’t want to push her if she’s struggling with her vision!  How frustrating that would be for her.  I’ve posted here several times about Zenni Optical’s incredibly affordable eyeglasses, and several months ago I finally bought two pairs!

Despite some of the bad press I’ve read online, I’ve been pretty happy.  For $65 including shipping I purchased two pairs of glasses, a clip on sunglasses shade, anti-reflective coating, and received free cases and wipes.  The glasses were two of the more expensive frames, and though one of the plastic nose pads ripped (easy to replace) and I just snapped the tip off the arm of the other pair – my bad – I’ve been totally pleased with my purchase.  Better yet, one of the pairs I even got to select the lens shape.  I got just what I needed, and what I already know looks good on me in both pairs.  One pair is almost identical to a $300 pair I bought locally that my daughter kept ripping the arm off of.  Just replacing the arm on that pair cost $50 each time, I love the savings.

So, if my six-year-old turns out to need glasses I’ll know where to get them!  I’m already checking out the selection at Zenni Optical, and knowing my little princess, I think this pair might be just her style. $19.00 for a memory, half-rim frame?  Yeah, I think I can swing that!  If it turns out she’s in need, we’ll likely spring for three pairs, just in case.  You know kids – loosing their glasses, crunching ‘em etc.  At this price they’re almost disposable :) .

Welcome!
