Very neat! We were just reading about that TONIGHT in a comic book Bible the kids have really been enjoying at bedtime! It's going pretty fast, but hitting a lot of the main points - tomorrow night...Elijah!

We're reading through Isaiah in our American Bible Society program and 2 Chronicles with our Sonlight curriculum. Since we're also studying ancient history, I have to admit it's the first time I've ever really gotten the North/South thing with Israel. I think I always just thought in terms of the North being taken into captivity first and that being the difference. I didn't realize that was all subsequen to civil war and that it was a division to begin with over whether they would worship God alone or other gods. We read the other day how all the Levites left the North and went south to Jerusalem because they really were kind of out of work up in the North where the king was just as interested in baal worship. I have no idea why I missed this all these years, but it's fun to have some historical perspective.
