November is Epilepsy Awareness Month
Did you know that November is Epilepsy Awareness Month? Neither did I until Virgina Spencer – a mom of five – emailed me to share her vision of raising awareness for epilepsy. Her daughter was diagnosed this March, and for the month of November she’ll be blogging at Seven Swans a Swimming on a daily basis, sharing the challenges of raising a young epileptic and dispelling the myths that surround this terrifying illness.
Our Rose (now 3) suffered a febrile seizure at the age of two, I was scared even though I realized what was happening, I’d never seen a seizure before. To go through seizure after seizure with your little one…I can’t even imagine the heart-ache. Please join Virgina at her blog this month to learn more about the effects of epilepsy upon those with the disease, and those who love and care for them.

Thank you so much! You are a blessing! I had no idea when I emailed you that you had experienced a seizure as well. It is a very challenging thing to view. I am glad that you knew what was happening! The more people that learn about epilepsy and seizures the better we all will be! Bless you and yours!
Thank you for sharing this! My son has epilepsy…
