Save the What?

Have you ever received a “Save the Date” card? Serving as a precursor or informal substitute for an official invitation-style announcement, Save the Date announcements tell folks to pencil you in on their calendar for your special day/party/gathering etc. Available in postcards and cards, these reminders are also available as magnets – my favourite option! I’m not the world’s most organized Mom, and I often ehm…misplace small pieces of paper (think traditional invites). With save the date magnets on the fridge, you at least know where to find the date when you need it.

I’m thinking weddings, family reunions, open houses, or any other big shin-dig you have coming up. But think even more fun – as a way to share your upcoming birth with family and friends – Save the Date, Baby Jones, Sometime in July, 2009 – there’s even a baby friendly design you could use. By baby #5 or #6 moms are always looking for new and unique ways to break the news .
