That's awesome Celee! Our family is memorizing Genesis 1 this year, and we're up to the beginning of Day 4 :). Are you singing the Psalms? We've memorized a number of them this way, and it's been a blessing for us! We're also still fine-tuning our books of the Bible song for the little ones. Kaelynn can do them all if she's singing along, but stumbles a bit when she sings alone.

We're still in 2 Chronicles for our Sonlight reading learning over and over again that God wants us to trust in Him, not in numbers, or weapons, or allies, but in Him alone. We're learning God is a jealous God and hates idolatry. In our American Bible Society readings the theme this month is gratitude. Most of this month will be spent in the Psalms. An aside, my kids have memorized Psalms 8, 15, 23, 100, first 8 verses of 119. We work on them off and on throughout the week and recite them on our way to church as a way to prepare our hearts for worship. (This takes the place of the chaos that normally characterizes our car rides!) I feel so blessed to be home with my kids and have the time to spend in God's Word with them each day. What a joy!
