My First Time On the Wii
Okay, as my title indicates I’m just not up on gaming platforms. We have a DS that was gifted to us by my sister, but that’s it
. I’ve seen the Wii at my mom’s house, have heard a lot of online buzz about it, but have never, ever tried it. Until last night.
After playing with the Wii Fit Plus for an hour or so, I think I’m in love! What an innovative way to get some fun physical activity! Our two oldest did a bit of running too. Funny how a bit of interactive visual stimuli can keep you motivated to exercise (not to mention some competition with my little sister’s top scores!)
I might have to, ahem, save up for one
. To those of you who do use Wii Fit Plus, have you found that it keeps it’s appeal over the long-run? I’d hate to invest in something only to have the fun wear off after a week or two

I taught Exercise Science at the local University for a couple of years and childhood obesity is a big thing here in the US. I think Wiis are pretty cool. Not every game available for Wii is active, though. I really like Wii sports and my mom has the exercise kit. It definitely beats the DS!

Everyone always raves about the Wii Fit. I’ve never tried the Wii, but the kids have and love it. I keep thinking I’ll get the fit board and give it a go, but I want to try someone else’s first, to make sure it’s not just another item in the house I’ll have to dust.
We got one about a month ago. I wish I had more time to get to it, but we still love it. That’s were I go for a work out;) I only get there once or twice a week, but if I was disiplined about it I’d be there everyday. It hasn’t gotten boring, so far everytime you meet a challenge something new happens. I let you know in 6mons if we’re still into it;)
