Elijah/Elisha/The Divided Kingdoms
My goal to read through the Bible this year is still on track thanks to the Lord’s gentle mercies! I couldn’t plow through Proverbs, so I’m dividing it up into short readings to supplement my daily progress through the more narrative portions of scripture. Hopefully I’ll get through them all by year’s end!
Since my last updated I’ve read through Ecclesiastes, and am reading through the history of the divided kingdoms of Judah and Israel. One of my favorite parts of these readings has been reading about Elijah and Elisha – two incredibly interesting prophets.
Now that reading my Bible daily has really become a habit, it isn’t a struggle – I’m so thankful for that. I usually read while I’m putting my toddler down for a nap and it’s really working for us

I find reading while the boys are playing to work best for me. I really like the story of Elijah also. The fact he is so bold for GOD gives me courage to be bold for him as well. Whether it is teaching my children or at church or anywhere. We need to have fun and let our faith shine! Thanks for the blog post and keep up the good reading my friend!
