We have been so negligent in taking pregnancy pictures this time around, let alone sharing any of them publicly! This photo is one of the first series of photos we took of this pregnancy…at 38 weeks 4 days! As you can see from my pregnancy ticker we’re now 39 weeks 5 days
. Two days left to go until the ‘big day’ (though only 4% of women deliver on their EDDs).
So here I am with baby on board! I look even MORE pregnant in person (if that’s possible!) I am trying to be patient while we wait for our wee one to arrive as we hang out here in the city at my grandparents home. I am SO thankful to them for their hospitality
. They are such a blessing to us!
Going into labor prayers are much appreciated!

I Have to Go! is an absolute Munsch classic! This story of a little boy who refuses to pee when his parents ask him too rings so true to life and is no doubt drawn from Munsch’s own experiences as a parent. Recently re-released as a slightly updated board book, Munsch’s trademark text is condensed to make it more preschool friendly, and is combined with the original illustrations from his long-time illustrator Michael Martchenko in the style that has become so associated with Munsch’s classic works.
Andrew won’t pee beore car trips, he won’t pee before getting dressed up in a snowsuit (ah, Canadian parenting!), and he won’t pee before he goes to bed. I’m a huge fan of Robert Munsch’s ‘vintage’ titles from the ‘80s, most likely because I grew up with them myself! Even if I try to set that bias aside, I think this is still an entirely delightful story.
My seven-year-old agrees with me, and it’s the first Munsch title that she’s felt eager to read to herself and to her little sisters. Our children love the classic Munsch-style repetition, the easy to chime in with response lines, the onomatopoeia (sounds written as words), and the hilarity of the ensuing situations. This is just a keeper – enough said.
All in all I Have to Go! is still just as good as it has ever been, and is ready to please a new generation of toddlers, preschoolers, early readers, and parents alike. There’s a reason over a million copies of this title have been sold in it’s various forms!

This blog is around the third website I created, and the first that I still actively maintain. In that time I haven’t purchased any official seo services, but neither do I depend on high rankings in a very competitive marketplace for this blog. When I first started our family farm’s website (where we no longer live, website defunct as well), I did read a primer on search engine optimisation, and have since used those same basic search engine optimisation principles on every website I’ve created since then.
However, different websites use different content management platforms, and sometimes it takes time and can be tricky to learn how to integrate search engine optimisation principles within a specific engine/website. Sometimes people are just too busy to do their own website work, or it seems too complicated – particularly if you aren’t at all familiar with or comfortable learning html or the basics of php. That’s where hiring out for seo services becomes important. There is such a wide range of services offered and price structures that it can be tricky to comparison shop, but it’s well worth the time, make sure you get the most for your seo services dollars!

THR3E is an unusual book, to say the least. While it begins like many movie-style plot lines – man gets a phone call, do something or something will blow up – nothing is quite as it seems in this mysterious story that explores the connections between good and evil in the life of each fallen human being. I see that the book actually has been made into a film (no wonder I kept imagining it as a movie!), but I haven’t seen it myself.
Originally released in 2003, the mass-market paperback is now hitting shelves in bookstores. This is a ‘clean’ mystery/suspense read; there isn’t any cursing or explicit sensuality, though there is violence, darkness, and a disturbing history of a warped childhood. Still, it isn’t explicit or TOO scary in my opinion.
There are some faith-based themes here obviously, with the struggle between good and evil being the obvious one. There are also explorations of adoption with God as a father, personal vs. abstract faith, and others. However, this isn’t mainly an exploration of personal faith, and when Dekker does attempt to pull that into focus momentarily it quickly slips into the background and doesn’t weave through the rest of the novel.
Due to the surprising plot twists it’s difficult to go deeply into the plot of THR3E without revealing spoilers, but it certainly is a mind-bending read that will have you wanting to go back and read it through again once you’re finished. I will say though, that the focus on action and suspense does leave a little something to be desired in the realm of character development. I never truly saw Kevin’s genius (our threatened hero) though it was repeatedly referred to, nor did I find Jennifer’s (the lead FBI agent) closing responses believable.
THR3E will definitely have you looking at the world through a different set of lenses for days to come after you finish reading it.
